We are still working on the maps adding videos & photos over the next few weeks to the Surfing Dominican Republic website , to include more useful data.
Where to stay on your surf holiday to the Dominican Republic? It’s best to base yourself in the Cabarete area on the North coast of the Dominican Republic, this way you have easy access to the surf spots west and east of Cabarete. In the Cabarete area there are a few options: – West in the Encuentro Area. – Around Kitebeach -In Cabarete -East of Cabarete
For ease of access to surfspots, restaurants, bars and shops it’s best to stay in Cabarete. Take a surf transport to the surf beaches ( a few minutes) and the rest of the day you can walk to one of the many fine restaurants in Cabarete. Driving late at night from Cabarete east or west into Cabarete is generally not the safest thing to do. See Swell Website for quality accommodation for surfers in the center of Cabarete
